All performances are free. The street performers up and down Bridge street, called buskers, are performing for tips. Please support local artists on the street and at the craft bazaar. Small clay birds made by the community have been placed beneath the Firebird. As it burns, the Firebird acts as giant kiln firing the clay birds below, thus reenacting the Myth of the Phoenix that is consumed in flame and reborn from its own ashes. Come to the Phoenix Village Art Center in February for a Firebird photo and clay bird display. This is your chance to purchase one of the birds fired inside the burning Phoenix. |
After the Festival The Firebird Festval is organized and built by a group of local artists. The Firebird Committee members will be displaying their art work at the Phoenix Village Art Center for the February show opening the 1st of the month. Also on display will be the clay birds fired inside the Firebird. At the Gallery Charles Segal, Bill Milnazik, Mia Bosna, Lynn Miller, Lisa Mueller, Paul Michaels, Dagmar Holl and Henrik Stubbe Teglbjaerg. |
